The Florist industry is not licensed, meaning anyone can open a florist. If you have enough money, you can open your own florist. You may not last for long, but you can own one.
Florists are not all the same. If the industry is not licensed, you can imagine the quality of work is very inconsistent. We are very consistent. We have over 75 years combined experience, with very talented artist/designers. We are all given gifts in life. Some of us sing, some of us dance, some are just great with numbers. We are skilled artists each with a passion for nature, design and beauty.
We buy exceptional quality direct from the growers. Since we purchase by the case, we receive premium quality at a better price than what other florists pay their wholesaler. Our Oriental Lilies for example. A local wholesaler would charge us double what we paid through the grower/distributor, for the same quality.
What does all this mean to you? It means you're getting value for your money. It means you're having a well paid, local floral artist design your arrangement. It means your flowers are as fresh as can be. Usually a week or more fresher than other florists.
Also, people, stop using wire services ( FTD, Tele, 800 Flowers, etc). These companies charge outrageous fee to the customer as well as the florists that actually arrange/make and deliver those flowers. They charge monthly fees and dues up the you know what.
Long story short.... save some money and order from us. You will speak directly to one of our courteous, experienced sales staff. We will let you know exactly what we have in stock, what looks the best and any specials we may have. Your flowers will arrive promptly and fresh.
Lastly, companies like FTD, Teleflora, 800 flowers etc, are NOT florists. They are the middleman. They know zero about flowers because they are NOT florists. When you call them, you're calling a call center and speaking to a person that knows little to nothing about flowers. What's worse is that those companies will take as much as 29% of your order, plus "service fees".
Buy local. All the money that is spent online is going to companies that operate in other states. Support your local businesses. We do
