Why are flowers so expensive during Valentine's Day?

Flowers are expensive leading up to Valentine's day because of supply and demand. The demand is there and the Growers take full advantage of it. Our cost for Roses will triple in the few weeks leading up to Valentine's Day. Actually, the cost of all our flowers increase dramatically. It's a bit unfair and we don't like it much either. Another reason is labor costs. We have great designers here at Exceptional Flowers & Gifts, and great costs money. Think of it like a great accountant, lawyer, doctor or mechanic. If you're bringing your Rolls Royce in for service, I'm sure you have experienced mechanics working on it. You wouldn't want a $10hr mechanic with little experience, working on your pride and joy. Flowers are also available in many different grades of quality, like most products. Low grade flowers are what you find in supermarkets, 7-11's and the side of the road. Often times they are old and left over and sold at a huge discount. Our customers expect quality and quality looks great. Vibrant colors from flowers at their peak of freshness. Our products are sourced through our distributors, from South America, California, etc. And arrive fresh in our shop every week. Check out our website and see the difference fresh, bright and vibrant flowers can make. The flower arrangements on our site are made fresh, by us, daily. We create, design and deliver all of our own creations. We hope you enjoy receiving them as much as we enjoy creating them for you. : )
