Our mission

Have you ever been somewhere such as a fast food restaurant or any other place of what would seem to be simple service and somehow they just can't seem to get anything right? Being in business and working myself I can understand that anyone can have an off day and that can reflect badly upon the work that they are outputting.

Here at Exceptional we try not to let our personal or business views stand in the way of what is "right". We don't base our creations entirely off of dollar value. We incorporate with the cost feelings of thoughtfulness, generosity, and empathy.

If someone spends $40 we always tend to give a little extra depending on the occasion or overall "feel" of the order. The cost of a few extra flowers is priceless in comparison to the impact that a little extra thought can have on one's day.

The attention to detail is what sets us apart from other florists. If a designer or myself overlooks something we are not afraid to speak upon it, claim responsibility and put our pride to the side so that things can get done correctly.

Maintaining a business is a challenge within itself. Considering numbers, costs, growth, profit, loss, etc. It is hard to maintain your humanity and generosity among all of the expenses and bad customer experiences. That is why many corporate places have robots and out of country answering services to deal with the overabundance of customers and complaints that they're tending to. If you're paying $100 a month for phone & internet and the power goes out. You can't use the services you're paying for to get in touch with the company that you pay for the services because you have no power! Thus you end up using your phone data which then ties into other providers and companies who profit from it...etc

It is a vicious cycle of greed and capitalism and it is refreshing for all of us at Exceptional to be on the outside of that loop and to be able to provide a personal 1-on-1 experience for each of our customers. I couldn't count the amount of times I've used my personal cellphone to send pictures and follow up texts about orders and deliveries. Even knocking a few dollars off of delivery fees and flowers to meet a customers budget. Just to fulfill a promise, give a customer peace of mind, or update them about their order. Qualities that do not exist in corporate businesses.
